OWNER REPRESENTATIVE
Venice Challenger Baseball complex is a completely handicapped baseball facility built adjacent to the Boys and Girls Club in Venice. Park includes 5 acres of civil improvements, a new 150’ rubber baseball field to accommodate wheelchairs and a 180’ grass field. The Complex includes a new 1500 sq. ft multipurpose building, and handicapped accessible playground.
Scope of Work: Mike Beaumier provide Owner Representation on this project Pro Bono and has been involved with Challenger Baseball since 2011. The Scope included negotiation of land lease with WCIND and Sarasota County, and agreements with the Boys and Girls Club for shared use.  As Owner Representative, Michael contracted with all the consultants and worked with the team to gain all environmental approvals and required permits form Sarasota County, FDEP and SWFWMD. Challenger contracted with all the subcontractors directly under the supervision of Mr. Beaumier, and he managed monthly pay applications, County inspections and consultant coordination from initial concept design through final Certificate of Occupancy.
